Are The Broncos Trying To Shop Cutler?!

cutler

Rumors are flying right now, that the Denver Broncos are trying to shop probowl QB Jay Cutler… Are they out of their damn mind? CB4 in Denver has the inside scoop, they say;

Broncos Insider Vic Lombardi has learned the Broncos are actively trying to shop Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler. Lombardi spoke to Cutler Sunday morning.

“I’ve heard the rumors,” Cutler said. “I know what they’re trying to do. Even though I love Denver and I’d love to remain a Bronco, I know how this business works. If they want me to play somewhere else, so be it.”

The Broncos had a three-way deal in the works late last night with the Patriots and Buccaneers. The proposed trade would’ve sent Cutler to Tampa and Matt Cassel to Denver. That deal fell apart when Cassel was traded to the Chiefs earlier Sunday morning.

Now the Broncos are turning to other teams in an effort to trade Cutler, possibly the Detroit Lions.

CBS4 has also learned tight end Tony Scheffler has also been mentioned in trade talks.
Yikes. I will keep you informed!!

  • Better Pro: Hasheem Thabeet or Blake Griffin?

    hasheemthabeetblakegriffin

So as we all know by now it will more than likely come down to Griffin winning the player of the year award, but it brings up a question of who is going to have the better pro career?

I don’t think that there is a question that Thabeet will be the better pro and have the longer career.  I understand that Griffin has more talent, but keep in mind that Thabeet has only been playing basketball for 4 years, so he is a raw talent with a 7′3″ frame compared to Griffin who is going to be a 6′10″ power forward. I understand that Charles Barkley is probably the best power forward ever to play and was only 6′7″. However, unlike Barkley, Griffen is soft, he isn’t going to be effective in the pros. I see Griffin being basically a Charles Oakley type where as I can see Thabeet having maybe a Hakeem career, if he can develop a shot.

  • Eagles Lose Dawkins, Broncos Ink Superstar!

    dawkins

The Broncos continue with their free agent assualt and ink Eagles 13 year safety Brain Dawkins! Apparently the Broncos are trying to form an amazing defense to go with that potent offense of 2008.

The seven time probowler will be a huge loss for the Eagles defense, I have no idea how they let someone of his calliber and leadership just slip away. I guess they couldn’t afford him with all those other big name players on their roster (sarcasm)…

The team has also acquired defensive studs Browns linebacker Andra Davis and a three-year, $6.8 million deal for Colts defensive tackle Darrell Reid, according to sources.

  • Collins Signs 2 Year Deal, Young Gets Older, As Old Passes Young

    collinsyoung

The 36 year old Kerry Collins has reached an agreement with the Titans for 2 years $15 million. Yipee.

Collins says he is happier then ever to resign and always intended to resign with the Titans, despite rumors.

“This is where I wanted to be, and my family loves Nashville,” Collins said. “It is just part of the process. Free agency comes about, and there are lots of talks and rumors. At the end of the day, this is where I want to be, and I am happy it worked out.”

So what about the NFL’s 2006 rookie of the year, Vince Young. Is he to sit and rot on the bench for another 2 years, or more if Collins pulls a Brett Favre? There is a number of NFL teams who would welcome Young on their team and pay him handsomely for it, so what does Young think about all of this? Inside sources say he will be dissapointed but will try and have a good attitude about it. HA! What does that even mean?! If I was Young, I would be telling my agent to find me a starting job ASAP. Vince, you should contact me, I will get you a starting job no problem, how do you feel about the weather in Chicago?

If Youn sits out another 2 years he will be 28 years old with little experience, as you can see his attractiveness gets less and less. Lets say Collins deicedes to stick around for another year or 2, after his contract is up, then Young has sat those 2 years for nothing and he will be 30 by the time it comes back around!

    ASK TO BE TRADED!!

  • Will Winslow Finally Live Up To Expectations With Bucs?

    winslow

After 5 grueling years with the Browns (for both parties), Winslow has finally been traded. Cleveland traded the former pro-bowler to Tampa Bay for a number of undisclosed draft pics.

“Cleveland was great to me,” he said in Tampa. “I had a great time playing with Braylon Edwards, Brady Quinn. I’m going to miss those guys. But it’s also a new opportunity. I’ve played with some of the guys on this team — Jeff Faine, Antonio Bryant, Luke McCown. I’m as happy as can be. I’m healthy.”

Winslow’s acquisition continues a busy week for the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay cut linebacker Derrick Brooks, an 11-time Pro Bowler and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year; wide receivers Joey Galloway and Ike Hilliard; running back Warrick Dunn; and linebacker Cato June in moves to save more than $10 million in salary cap space.

Winslow gives Tampa Bay a versatile offensive weapon. His size and speed make him difficult to defend, but it’s unclear who will throw him the ball. Jeff Garcia is not expected to be re-signed, which currently leaves only Brian Griese and McCown — drafted by the Browns the same year as Winslow — to battle it out for the starting job.

This is an amazing trade for the Bucs who needed a premium TE. Although the exact draft picks are undisclosed, I think the Bucs got a deal of a life time. YES, I know that he has been dragged through injury and controversy in his 5 year stint with the Browns, but we all know what new teams can do for a career, maybe he can finally get back on his hall of fame pedigree.

  • Would Someone Pay Manny Already?

    manny

So Manny rejected the 45 million dollar offer by the Dodgers, although the real contract was 41 million.

Now trust me on this I hate Man-Ram, but seriously you can’t doubt the guys talent! I can name 10 teams that have big payrolls and could for sure use Manny.

    The Teams:

Dodgers: You need Manny to carry the excuse of a ball club that you have.

Yankees: Think of the line up alone, Manny batting fourth sandwiched between Arod and tex, who wants to pitch to that?

    Giants: Fuck you paid Zito

    Cardinals: Give Albert some help

Cubs: You sign Manny, you have the best top 4 in baseball-Soriano, D. Lee, Manny and Aramis

Orioles: You’ve spent money before IE Tejada and Albert Bell, trust me Manny would be tops

Rangers: 1. You gave Arod the biggest contract ever. 2. Without Milton Bradly you need a DH, let Manny fill that open spot

Astros: With the short porch in left Manny could easily hit 60 homers and would lead the majors, he would get to 600 HRs i your ballpark, think of the payday

Angles: What are you doing? You had a terrible off season, please give Vlad someone to play with. You have the best pitching staff now get an offense.

Nationals: Lets be honest you don’t have a chance to win and Manny doesn’t care if he is winning, he just wants that paper. You have spent money on everyone else so just let Manny be the face of the franchise.

If you don’t feel that Manny isn’t worth the money, please tell me that the Red Sox wouldn’t have won in the ALCS if they had Manny in the four hole behind Papi

  • Is Albert Haynesworth Worth 100 Mil?

    haynesworth

So as you all probably know by now, Albert Haynseworth signed a 7 year 100 million(14.29 mil a year) dollar contract today with the Washington Redskins.

No doubt Albert Haynesworth is hands down an excellent talent and I would have loved if my favorite team signed him, but is he really worth 100 million dollars? I mean for the so called “best defensive player in the game” wouldn’t you want a guy to make more then 51 tackles last season? I would hope if I’m going to pay that much moneythat I would be getting more bang for my buck. Also does anyone else notice the only time he comes up huge is when he is looking for a pay day? Its only a matter of time until he starts stomping on peoples faces, not to mention Haynesworth has only finished all 16 games of a season one time in his career since being drafted in 2002. I’m sure I will get a lot of the Haynseworth is a god, but if you give me 14 million dollars a year to spend on free agents, I would sign 2 or 3 players that could impact my team than one player.

  • Dwade, Most Underrated Superstar in NBA?

    dwade

Whenever I hear anyone talk about the best players in the NBA, only 2 names come to peoples minds; Its either Lebron or Kobe every single time. Explain to me how that is possible? What has Lebron accomplished? Dwade has a championship and a finals MVP, Lebron hasn’t been to a finals to date. Yea Kobe has three wins but look at the talent Kobe had in his championships. I’m not saying that DWADE is hands down the best player, I just feel he needs to be in the discussion no matter what. Look at this year alone Kobe has Gasol and Odom two superstars and Lebron has Mo Williams and Big Z, then we take a look at what Wade has been given this season, a rookie point guard in super mario and a pathetic excuse of a big man in Jermaine O’neal. Look where the Heat are, 4th in the east! I will be willing to bet my paycheck that neither Kobe or LBJ would have the Heat nearly as good as they are this season.

When talking about MVP shouldn’t leading scorer be able to throw his hat in the mix, while according to everyone DWADE isn’t in the top 4 MVP candidates this season,  that is a joke!
