Are The Broncos Trying To Shop Cutler?!
Rumors are flying right now, that the Denver Broncos are trying to shop probowl QB Jay Cutler… Are they out of their damn mind? CB4 in Denver has the inside scoop, they say;
Broncos Insider Vic Lombardi has learned the Broncos are actively trying to shop Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler. Lombardi spoke to Cutler Sunday morning.
“I’ve heard the rumors,” Cutler said. “I know what they’re trying to do. Even though I love Denver and I’d love to remain a Bronco, I know how this business works. If they want me to play somewhere else, so be it.”
The Broncos had a three-way deal in the works late last night with the Patriots and Buccaneers. The proposed trade would’ve sent Cutler to Tampa and Matt Cassel to Denver. That deal fell apart when Cassel was traded to the Chiefs earlier Sunday morning.
Now the Broncos are turning to other teams in an effort to trade Cutler, possibly the Detroit Lions.
CBS4 has also learned tight end Tony Scheffler has also been mentioned in trade talks.

How would this even make sense? First they get Dawkins and things look good, now they are trying to break up the cutler - Marshall - royal connection????? Bollocks!
Denver is so whack lately, they have been making all the waves this offseason by hiring McDaniels (too young), got rid of a prooven winner (shanhan), signing a lot of free agents, and now shopping arguably the best up and coming QB in the league (or maybe he has already arrived in some minds)…
Ive hated Denver since 97 and this just continues to boost my hatred of blue and orange, the “mile high” nickname when they arent even a mile above sea level, the nuggets, and the broncos!!
what……?????? I knew Shanahan was in love with Cutler, but I think his performance has proved he is legit.

As far as I know, the Broncos are not trying to actively shop Cutler. However, they did field calls from at least three teams (Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Kansas City Chiefs) who were interested in acquiring him.
The idea behind these calls were to gauge whether Josh McDaniels would be interested replacing Jay Cutler with Matt Cassel. If he were to acquire Cassel, Jay Cutler would be the odd-man out and Pat Bowlen was gauging what teams were willing to sacrifice to acquire Cutler.
Either way, Jay Cutler is apparently infuriated by this revelation along with the unexpected firing of Mike Shanahan earlier this year. He apparently is asking for a trade, but this could change with a sit down meeting between Cutler, Josh McDaniels, and Pat Bowlen to reassure their support for Cutler.
