Bandwagon Much?

One of my least favorite things about being a sports fan is all of the bandwagoners there are. Once a team gets good its like they get nine hundred million fans that a year ago didn’t give a shit about them.
Did anyone else notice how many people were trying to rock their Patriots gear when they were going for their undefeated season? Okay there is no one doing that if the Patriots are 8-8. You shouldn’t have gotten on the Patriots wagon, BUT no you wanted to be the douche bag to root for a team and claim them as your team your whole life when you just became a fan, all Patriots fans, go dig a hole and jump in because there is no way you’re a true fan unless your from New England.
Boston Celtics fans, I understand that the Celtics have the Big 3 and maybe you were a KG fan or a Ray Allen fan but tell me the truth while your rocking your green Celtics shirt, were you a fan when they spent 6 straight years in the lottery, and in 2006-2007 when they were losing on purpose, yea your right I’m sure you were sitting on the edge of your chair watching Doc Rivers coach the worst team in basketball. Go join the Patriots fan in that hole they just dug.
Tampa Bay Rays fans, really? So let me guess you were waiting out their season of 100 lose seasons just knowing they were going to turn it around, so I’m guessing now that they are good you’re gonna go root for the Pirates. No, don’t be an idiot you only started rooting for the Rays is because of their historic turn around last season, you didn’t even know who Matt Garza was and now I’m sure your wearing the jersey and the hat saying Ive been a fan for years, yea no you weren’t.
Okay people I’m gonna tell you what if you’re a fan of the 3 teams I listed, you aren’t a true sports fan, you are what they call a bandwagoner. You think you like sports but you only like a team when they are good, what are you going to do once they’re bad again? Throw away your gear of the team and look at ESPN and see what team is good and start a brand new wardrobe? I speak facts.

Hmm, coming from a recent Yankees fan, I don’t know how to take this…
Yes because the Yankees have been just tearing up the MLB lately. We all know Im a Robinson Cano, Chien0Ming Wang and Hideki Matsui so I don’t think you can say I jumped on the Yankees bandwagon
im a raptors/jays fan so u can imaging how bad my days are right now.. however in 2016 when our point guard roko ukic (will probably be out of the league by 2011) dunks home the winner with no time on the clock, i will be there to say i told u so! RAPTORS!
i am a steelers fan and have been for over a decade so no complaining there!
however i see the temptation in bandwagoning.. take me for example, im a jays fan, and sure the early 90’s were great but god we havent been laid in like 15 years now.. seen some pitching gems since like clemens and hentgen and of course doc holliday all winning cy youngs here, but when october comes around, its the same ol story
i sit there wishing i could toss on a red sox/yankees cap, and for christ sake ANOTHER team in our division the rays are solid now too!
anyways eff the patriots, eff the redwings, eff the yankees, eff manchester united (im a die hard liverpool fan) and eff every other team ur “supposed” to cheer for
I am and always will be a Arizona Cardinals fan, which until this year, and maybe still, is considered a bad thing. haha I don’t think until this year I would have ever been considered to be on a bandwagon for loving the cards!
Bengals and Reds fan…really doesn’t get much worse, although my Redlegs should put up a decent fight this year.
Hey with a healthy Carson Palmer anything is possible, losing Housh however hurts you. I don’t think the Reds have a chance, they might be fighting the Pirates for the basement of the central in my mind
everyone is a bandwagon is some sort or shape… we all have our diehards (that we stick with through thick and thin) but Stephon Curry, the Rays, the Cardinals, etc.. they all give the fan in us something to cheer for, a david to our goliaths, ya know… So as long as there is a bandwagon fans will be jumping on and off them… the only true bandwagon is “the nation” they sucked forever they win one and all of a sudden there are like 25 million sox fans, getthefuckouttahere!!!
I would have to say that the majority of bandwagon fans reside in the Boston area
@ Respect This Hustle - I’m not sure, but i think that is racist.
I suppose it is if Bostonian is newly acknowledged race
no but its definitely its own religion, HATER!!
I’ve been a Patriots fan since 1994. I have the vintage Drew Bledsoe jersey to prove it. I lived through Pete Carroll era and shit a brick Bledsoe was destroyed by Mo Lewis.
lol @ Mo Lewis blowing up Bledsoe, a hit that I can definitely remember… similar to hit Favre took in the preseason from then steelers linebacker LLoyd (whats his first name, greg maybe?)
i swear i didnt google it so i could be wrong, but i am going with Greg too
Yeah but he spelled it Gregg….weirdo
2 G’s to match the 2 L’s i guess…
I stand corrected….I was confussing the the Double G’s withe Double L’s….either way this guy was juiced
You must have been thinking of Snoop DO double G
Guilty as charged
Yeah I think juice was his middle name, and he was obviously on a roid rage when he was trying to kill QBs in the preseason..
Hitting the quaterbacl in the preason is about as bad as hitting the punter in the probowl (a la Sean Taylor’s hit on Brian Moorman) R.I.P Taylor
God that was hilarious but apparently karma is a MoFo
In Taylor’s case I think Karma was on the juice
LOL! Ya i guess karma on steroids has to be the case if for hitting a punter = death
My thoughts exactly
