Best Conference in College Basketball

SO its almost tourney time and the most recent bracketology has the conference breakdowns as such
ACC(8)
Big East and Big Ten(7)
Big 12, Pac 10, and SEC(5)
I don’t think that the Pac 10 is legit if a team like Washington is your front runner in the conference. The Big 12 other than Oklahoma, MissouriĀ and Kansas who do you really have strong? Texas? I doubt anyone thinks Texas is a contender. The SEC is alright but I don’t think they have one team that could stake claim to being in the upper echelon of teams in the country. The Big 10 is pretty soft in my opinion. Purdue is overrated. The only team that has a chance to go all the way is Michigan State because all the other teams in the league are soft as hell. Now it comes down to the two conferences that are worth a damn The ACC has UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson and Florida State all in the top 25. Lets not kid ourselves Clemson and Florida State don’t have a chance to advance and I’m close to throwing Wake in that boat, in my opinion only UNC and Duke have a chance. The Big East is hands down, no doubt about the best conference in America. I mean 5 teams in the top 10 can you say d-o-m-i-n-a-t-i-o-n? I would take the top 6 teams in the Big East over any team in America. I guarantee that a Big East team wins the entire thing. If you disagree with that you’re an idiot!

Well said. Big East is head and shoulders above the competition. Notre Dame would easily be the champs of the Big 10, and they aren’t even in the top half of the Big East. I can’t believe everyone thinks the Big 10 is 7 teams strong. There is absolutely no way. Even Michigan State is overrated, remember how UNC throttled them in Michigan? 2 and only 2 teams from the Big 10 deserve to get in.
I thought Marquette was going to upset Louisville today and almost did! Big East is very strong
I would agree with you totally on the Big Ten only having 2 bids, this is one of the worst years for big 10 teams. Marquette had a team that would have been a tough out in the big dance but once james got hurt for the rest of the year their chances of going far went down with his ankle
Big East all the way! If they didnt have to beat up on each other all the time there is a legit four or five teams that could be #1. Also if you look in the middle of the conference thats where the strength really lies, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Cincinatti, Providence, USF all these teams have wins over the big guys and should get bids… We will see in the end but if the seeding is done correctly we could see 5 Big East teams in the elite 8 and potential 2-3 final four teams…
The Big East is amazing. That conference tourney alone will be something fun to watch. I think you will see 2 big east schools in the final four without a doubt if not more. (outside of UNC, all the power schools are in the Big East this year).
*The Big Ten is not as top heavy as it has been in years past, there is parody, I dont think there is a dominate team, but I dont think anyone is horrible short of Indiana and Iowa. And the fact that the SEC is even worse than the Big Ten this year and that the Mid-Majors have been having below average seasons will leave atleast 5 spots open in the Tourney for the Big Ten. That being said I do not expect them to represent well at all and I would not be surprised if there were a lot of early exits.
* I expect to see an Elite 8 dominated by 1 or 2 acc schools/UCLA/Oklahoma/4 or 5 Big East schools depending on matchups. I dont think Memphis has played anyone besides Tennessee early on when every though they were stonger than they were and I really think Kansas has been overachieving all season.
