Top Quarterbacks in the NFL 1-32

manning2

So with the recent talk of quarterbacks I’m going to go through the best to the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL. This is my list so it is 100% accurate.

1. Peyton Manning(3 MVP’s says it all)

2. Tom Brady(Saying that he comes back healthy)

3.  Drew Brees(Puts up Marino numbers)

4. Jay Cutler(If he had a defense or a running game, playoffs no doubt)

5. Eli Manning(Got a ring and hes gonna build on it)

6. Ben Roethlisberger(Already 2 rings to go along with a big arm)

7. Carson Palmer(Would be 3, but can’t seem to stay healthy)

8.  Kurt Warner(A product of the talent around him but he puts number up)

9. Donavon Mcnabb(Can’t run as much but hes still got it)

10. Phillip Rivers(I personally don’t think hes good but I can’t hate on him)

11. Aaron Rodgers(First year, dude was a huge stud, can’t wait for next year)

12. Tony Romo(Hes a head case and will never win a Superbowl)

13. Matt Hasselback(Hes always hurt so you can’t really tell how good he really is)

14. Kerry Collins(Did a hell of a job managing the Titans last year)

15.  David Garrard(Good first year, down second year, lets hope he turns it around)

16.  Trent Edwards(Last year had his team 5-0, had concussion and was never the same)

17. Jason Campbell(I thought with this much experience he would be better by now)

18. Chad Pennington(Doesn’t have good skills, but somehow gets the job done)

19.  Matt Ryan(Dude is the real deal, gonna be a stud!)

20. Matt Cassell(Hes a one year wonder, mark my words on it)

21. Jamarcus Russell(Hes got a huge arm but no one to throw the ball to)

22. Brady Quinn(Led his team with 3 TDs in his first start and then got hurt 2 games later, gonna be good not great)

23. Joe Flacco(Hes lucky he has a good defense cause he isn’t special at all)

24. Matt Schaub(I dare you to be healthy)

25. Kyle Orton(Hes over .500 as a starter)

26. Jake Delhomme(You cost the Panthers the playoffs, any average qb and they are in)

27. Matthew Stafford(Yup I did it without playing a game, Gonna be dominate in blue and silver)

28. Marc Bulger(Way to fall off the face of the earth)

29. Tavaris Jackson(All you have to do is turn around and give it to AP, don’t screw it up)

30.  Kellen Clemens(Well the Jets don’t have confidence in you so why should I?)

31. Luke McCown(Didn’t the watch you in Oakland?)

32. Shaun Hill(There are at least 15 back ups better than you)

  • Bengals Replace Houshmandzadeh With Coles

    coles

Days after letting Houshmandzadeh leave to go to Seattle, The Bengals have made their move to fill the gap, and that gap filler is Laveranues Coles.

“The Bengals were very aggressive right from the start in talking to us,” Coles said, in a statement released by the team. “And when a team makes you feel really wanted, that’s a factor you’re not going to ignore. They said, ‘Let’s get this worked out,’ and we did.”

ESPN reported that the deal with Cincinnati was worth $28 million, another indication of how badly the Bengals wanted him. Coles also visited Buffalo last week.

“Clearly, Laveranues gives our passing game another proven weapon,” coach Marvin Lewis said. “He’s been durable and reliable, with high production in catches, yards, yards-per-catch and touchdowns. He’s also a passionate player, a guy who will bring a very positive chemistry to our locker room.

I think that after all the shit I talked, the Bengals have finally made a move to improve their team. I think Coles is a nice fit here and can really help out their offense by providing a nice trio of WR’s with Coles, Johnson and Henry. I am sure Ocho Cinco is happier then ever that he now has someone to take some of the attention off his aging self.

So I leave you with this. Who would you rather have, Whosyourmomma or Coles?

  • Would You Want T.O.?

    terrelowens2

With Terrell Owens getting released from the Dallas Cowboys tonight after signing a 3 year contract just a season ago. It brings me to a question, would you want your team to sign T.O.? I gotta say a HUGE NO, not only is he 35 years old, he is the biggest cancer there has ever been in the NFL. He ruins every locker room he has ever been apart of. With the Niners he threw Jeff Garcia under the bus and called him a homo, then he goes to Philly and started talking all this shit about Mac 5 and Andy Reid which got him sent home early during the season, which led to him getting cut and now in Dallas he got jealous of Jason Witten? Why are you jealous of the best tight end in football? Because he is going across the middle taking the safeties with him leaving you on a island with single coverage and you’re too old now to break away from one on one coverage?

I’m just saying if I ran a team I wouldn’t even entertain the thought of T.O. on my team, if I was a team in the NFL I would black ball T.O. just like MLB did with Barry Bonds.

    SAY NO to T.O.

  • Battle of the Back Ups: Young or Leinart?

    youngvsleinart2

So today Kurt Warner signed a two year deal with the Cardinals and with Matt Leinart still under contract for 2 more years and Kerry Collins signed a 2 years deal with the Titans last week, with Vince Young under contract for 2 more years that mean both Leinart and Young are both back ups for the next two seasons unless someone trades for them.

My thing is lets say your a team that needs a new quarterback and you don’t have the first overall pick and can’t draft Stafford and with the rest of the quarterbacks in the draft not being that great, who would you make the move for Matt Leinart or the 2006 rookie of the Year Vince Young?

I’m going with Matt Leinart, I know he hasn’t had very much experience and when he has gotten a chance to play it hasn’t been too impressive but lets be honest Vince Young doesn’t have the smarts to ever be a good quarterback in the NFL, all he can do is run. Yes he does have a better arm than Leinart but lets be honest, I’m probably a more accurate quarterback than Vince Young. If I was the GM of the Tampa Bay Bucs, I’m making a move Matt Leinart tomorrow. He is an intelligent quarterback and has great skill sets, there is a reason he won a Heisman. Matt Leinart is still a quarterback that you can build a team around, someone please save him from the bench in Arizona and let him show what he can do.

  • Matthew Stafford: Savior Or Another Harrington?

    stafford

So the draft is coming up the last weekend in April and all signs point to the Lions who have the first overall pick choosing Georgia Quarterback Matthew Stafford. If you remember the Lions drafted Joey Harrington with the 3rd overall pick in 2002.

Now the reason why the Lions might be hesitant to make the Stafford the first overall pick as well as give him a 60 million dollar contract is the failure of Joey Harrington who the Lions put all their eggs in one basket, with the Harrington selection and what if they do the same thing with Stafford and he doesn’t pan out, just like Joey.

I think Stafford is the real deal, he is a for sure a franchise quarterback that you can build a team around. He has the best arm to come out of the draft since Cutler and if you pair Stafford up with Calvin Johnson, what a duo that would be. Both players under the age of 24(Stafford 21 and Johnson 23), the lions would have two offensive superstars to build their franchise around. So yes, Lions if you don’t wanna go win less again, draft Stafford and within 5 years you will be a playoff contender.

  • T.J. Houshmandzadeh Reaches Deal With Seattle, Uniform Name Stitcher Cries

    whosyourmomma

According to media reports on Monday, Whosyourmomma and Seattle have agreed to a 5 year, $40 million deal.

What does this mean for fantasy owners? Well in my opinion, NOT GOOD! T.J had over 200 catches in the last 2 seasons with the Bengals, but Seattles top receiver, Bobby Engram, had only 47 catches last year. I know he can’t catch, but still… With no true deep threat in Seattle, it is still to be seen how T.J will fair when he is focused on as the #1 WR. Is Palmer a better QB then Hasselbeck? I think that is up in the air for debate, but the ways the defenses will approach T.J is the real issue.

On another note, WHAT IS CINCINATTI DOING?!  Holy shit, they franchise their kicker, and get rid of their top WR? They now have no running game, and their best WR is a aging Chad Johnson, with not much left in the tank. Good luck this year if you don’t have major plans for free agency…

Then there is Seattle, Whosyourmomma said going to a contending team is VERY important to him, and if you play a franchise in madden, then you know what they say is always true! Even when I win back to back to back rings in madden and hit up the free agency and offer less money to a player who says the most important thing is a good team, they never accept! I guess Madden is true in real life too because Houshmanzadeh definitely did not find himself a contending team in seattle. Let me explain… 4-12 last year, no running game, no o-line, no defense and their top reciever last year sucked. The ONE bright spot, if you can call it that, is Hasselbeck who is not THAT great, even if he “does want the ball and is gonna score.”

Good luck in 2009 T.J, you will need it.

  • Bandwagon Much?

    bandwagon3

One of my least favorite things about being a sports fan is all of the bandwagoners there are.  Once a team gets good its like they get nine hundred million fans that a year ago didn’t give a shit about them.

Did anyone else notice how many people were trying to rock their Patriots gear when they were going for their undefeated season? Okay there is no one doing that if the Patriots are 8-8. You shouldn’t have gotten on the Patriots wagon, BUT no you wanted to be the douche bag to root for a team and claim them as your team your whole life when you just became a fan, all Patriots fans, go dig a hole and jump in because there is no way you’re a true fan unless your from New England.

Boston Celtics fans, I understand that the Celtics have the Big 3 and maybe you were a KG fan or a Ray Allen fan but tell me the truth while your rocking your green Celtics shirt, were you a fan when they spent 6 straight years in the lottery, and in 2006-2007 when they were losing on purpose, yea your right I’m sure you were sitting on the edge of your chair watching Doc Rivers coach the worst team in basketball. Go join the Patriots fan in that hole they just dug.

Tampa Bay Rays fans, really? So let me guess you were waiting out their season of 100 lose seasons just knowing they were going to turn it around, so I’m guessing now that they are good you’re gonna go root for the Pirates. No, don’t be an idiot you only started rooting for the Rays is because of their historic turn around last season, you didn’t even know who Matt Garza was and now I’m sure your wearing the jersey and the hat saying Ive been a fan for years, yea no you weren’t.

Okay people I’m gonna tell you what if you’re a fan of the 3 teams I listed,  you aren’t a true sports fan, you are what they call a bandwagoner. You think you like sports but you only like a team when they are good, what are you going to do once they’re bad again? Throw away your gear of the team and look at ESPN and see what team is good and start a brand new wardrobe? I speak facts.

  • BREAKING NEWS: NFL Players Boat + Nick Schuyler FOUND

    coastguard

Just reported on CNN that the coast guard has found the missing boat and Nick Schuyler clining to it. The other 3 players are STILL missing. More details to come as soon as i get them!!

CNN - The Coast Guard has found an overturned boat with one person clinging to it in waters where authorities have been searching for four missing boaters, the Coast Guard said Monday.

The missing boaters include two NFL players.

The Coast Guard said it does not know whether the boat it found is the one it has been searching for, according to Coast Guard Petty Officer James Harless.

The identity and condition of the person found with the boat was not known, Harless said.

Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper and NFL free agent Corey Smith, who played for the Detroit Lions for the past three seasons, have not returned from a fishing trip Saturday in water off Clearwater, family members and colleagues said Sunday.

The search, which began early Sunday, now involves three Coast Guardcutters, three C-130 Hercules airplanes and three helicopters combing 16,000 square miles of open water in the Gulf of Mexico, about 50 miles west of Clearwater Pass, according to a Coast Guard statement. The search area Sunday was just 750 square miles.

The Air Force Reserve’s 920th Rescue Wing, based at Florida’s Tyndall Air Force Base, sent a C-130 airplane and a HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter to join the effort Monday, the Air Force said.

NICK WAS WEARING A LIFE JACKET WHICH GIVES HOPE THAT THE OTHER 3 WERE TOO!

    Latest update:

“We now know we are looking for persons in the water, not a boat,” said Coast Guard Capt. Tim Close.

Nick Schuyler, a former University of South Florida football player, was the only person still with the small fishing boat when a Coast Guard cutter came across it Monday, Close said.

Still missing Monday afternoon were Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper; NFL free agent Corey Smith, who played for the Detroit Lions for the past three seasons; and former University of South Florida football player William Bleakley.

Schuyler told his rescuers that the boat was anchored Saturday evening when it was overturned by waves during a storm, Close said. He told them that all four men were clinging to the boat for a time, but became separated, Close said.

The four men embarked in a 21-foot single-engine boat from the Seminole Boat Ramp near Clearwater Pass about 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the Coast Guard said. The search was launched early Sunday after friends and relatives realized they had not returned from their fishing trip.

Schuyler appeared to be conscious and talking in video showing him being removed from a Coast Guard helicopter Monday afternoon.

  • NFL Players Still Lost At Sea

    fishing

The Coast Guard received no distress signal from a fishing boat that disappeared off Florida’s Gulf Coast while carrying two NFL players and two former college players.

The Coast Guard is searching a wide area for the 21-foot vessel carrying Corey Smith, a Detroit Lions free-agent defensive end, and Marquis Cooper, an Oakland Raiders linebacker. Will Bleakley and Nick Schuyler, both former University of South Florida players, were also aboard.

The boat was reported missing Sunday, one day after it left Clearwater Pass and did not return as expected Saturday evening as the weather became increasingly rough, with heavy winds and high seas.

Coast Guard Capt. Timothy M. Close said there was no communication with the men even before the weather started to pick up and no SOS call was received.

“That’s not to say they didn’t send one out,” he said. “We didn’t receive anything.”

The Coast Guard used a helicopter and an 87-foot ship to search a 750-square mile area west of Clearwater Pass, but poor weather on Sunday made the search difficult.

I can not believe this, it is so crazy to me. Don’t these boats have GPS locators on them? I am hoping they are OK, but the more days that pass, the less likely it looks.

    Stay tuned for more information!

  • What happened to Collecting Cards?

    cards

So back in the day whenever I received money, the first thing I did was ride my bike down to the local card shop and buy a pack of cards. Kids now a days are buying these pokemon and magic cards. What happened to buying a deck of baseball cards hoping to get your favorite player or a rare card worth a lot of money? I’m just saying, what happened in ten years where sports card collecting went from a huge market to a minescule market? I mean I’m not saying I have been helping the cause because I don’t think I have bought  a single card since I was 12 years old, so that’s 10 years of no card buying for me, how long has it been for you? I thought of this because I am packing my shit to move soon and ran into the thousands of baseball cards I have in separate boxes. I started to go through and realized my Bonds and AROD rookies won’t be worth a shit anymore, but hey I still got my Kobe rookies. I say we make the movement to start buying some sports cards so that when when the market goes up and the values of cards rise again we can make out like bandits.
