Injured Much? Top 10 Most Injury Prone Athletes

Chipper Jones got hurt in the WBC for his like 100th time in his career and it just got me to wondering, if he is one of the most injury prone athletes ever, I know he’s not out for any significant time but dude is always hurt.
So out of the three major sports I compiled a list of Injury prone players.
1. Tracy McGrady- One of the most talented players ever, but can’t finish a season ever.
2. Michael Redd- One of the best shooters in the game but he gets hurt every day(Worst player to build a franchise around)
3. Yao Ming- Guaranteed to miss 10 games a season, minimum
4. Grant Hill-Just think what he could have become, but the injuries in Detroit killed him
5. Greg Oden- I know he is still only a second year guy, but dude even had to sit out at Ohio State because of injuries
6. Ken Griffey Jr.- He would have 900 home runs right now and we wouldn’t have to put an asterisk on the home run record but it seems like as soon as he went to the Reds he couldn’t stay on the field.
7. Chipper Jones- Would have been the NL MVP last season but once again spent to much time on the DL. It is a for gone conclusion each season Chipper will spend time on the DL.
8. Donovan McNabb- Except last season, the past 5 years he has been forced to miss playing time because of injuries. 3 seasons ago he was scorching the league and then got hurt, missed a chance to win an MVP.
9. Brian Westbrook- Every game for the past 3 years he has been a game time decision, he literally can’t stay healthy for a full week.
10. Antonio Gates, Dallas Clark and Todd Heap- All 3 elite tight ends are constantly getting injured and their teams offense depend on their big name tight ends to be healthy.
I’m personally going to say that Michael Redd is hands down the most injury prone athlete, hes making a little under 16 million dollars a year to do what? Sit on the sidelines and watch his team fight for a playoff spot. I’m just saying think about what the Bucks could do with the payroll they are paying Redd to constantly get hurt and leave the Bucks high and dry. I hate Michael Redd and Herb Kohl for allowing that contract to even be offered!

I think you are forgetting Mike Hampton…
Mike Hampton is a joke so he didnt make the list
have we gotten our first troll?
haha maybe, but i took the url out of the comment, and emailed him to let him know the rules, could just be a mistake
Back on topic… Does anyone else think it is hilarious when Yao Ming gets hurt, not because he is hurt, but it is so comical because of his size!
I guess according to Papa Bear, I was a mistake. Sorry all.
Well Michael Redd has only been injured the last two years other than that he has been in the lineup day in and day out, sorry if im taking this a bit personal but Michael is my guy. He is a great team leader and a saint (literally) off the court, sometimes guys have a bad luck, I know landing on an opponents foot and twisting your knee so that your acl tears is totally his injury prone fault LOL. I think you forgot Vince Carter because last time I checked the phrase “hes the vince carter of_________ or the Griffey of ________” were the most commonly used digs at a players durability….
I knew you would be the one to argue this but tell me that Redd isn’t the worst player ever to build a team around
No doubt Larry Harris made a mistake giving Redd the 9 year 90 million dollar contract, he is no doubtetly overpaid for his skill level. However that being said dont you think that had the injuries not occured to him and Bogut that the bucks would be a lock for atleast the 6 seed in the east. Hammonds has taken that mistake (but Harris was on the money with Bogut, Charlie V, and Sessions) added some fresh ingredients (RJ, Luke Ridnour, Luc Mbah a Moute) and in my mind built a contender around Redd. Now it could be argued that they aren’t much of a contender because they probably dont stand a chance against Boston, Cleveland, Orlando (not to mention the whole western conference). Still I think my point is clear that you can build a contender around a player like Michael.
How about Ahman Green……on a lighter note I still laugh everytime I see Heath Schuler head butt the wall after scoring a td….he should make the list for being an absolute retard
or matt wise for cutting himself with salad tongs and missing like 2/3 of the season OUCH those things are sharp
was he eating straight out of the salad bar? i
may I add that, that picture of Yao is hilarious “big tree fall hard”
wat abour nomar? remember the royal trio of shortstops? Jeter was the richest, A-rod the youngest and nomar the BEST! nomar was unbeleivable from 98-01 better then hanley ramirez ever will be. to bad hes missed huge chunks of the last 8 seasons…boy oh boy i miss nomar!
