Terrell Owens is a Buffalo Bill

Well all of my predictions where wrong, because today, Terrell Owens signed with the Buffalo Bills.  It didn’t take long for him to find a team that wanted him, and he quickly inked a 1 year $6.5 million dollar guaranteed contract.

“I’m leaving America’s team [for] North America’s team,” Owens said at a news conference in Buffalo on Saturday.

Owens spoke on his feelings for the Bills;

“I must move on, and it’s another beginning for me,” Owens said. “If I can be that extra added piece to get them to the playoffs, then that’s what I’m here for. I looked at the defensive side of ball and offensive side of the ball, and these guys have all the pieces.”

Well I got two things to say about that… First, Terrell Owens obviously didn’t watch the 2008 NFL season because the Bills are terrible. Second, his attitude should change after about week 2 I would say when he starts telling the media how terrible his teammates are.

I did not see signing with the Bills coming, but I can see their thinking. What do they have to lose? Are they going to risk ruining their chemistry and finishing last in their division? Oh wait, they already did that with out him. They were also smart to signing him for ONLY ONE YEAR. Now if it doesn’t work out then they won’t have to worry about it. Guaranteeing the money was a little silly. They should have had at least a “If we don’t bench him for being a drama queen” clause.

In the end, this is going to be one eventful season for Bills fans. Owens is going to eat Trent Edwards alive. Lee Evans may have mixed feelings about the situation, at least Owens takse some of the heat off Evans on the field now!

      He does make the Bills better right away but come on. You have a young quarterback a young running back who is going threw gun charges it just doesn’t make sense to me why you would want to bring the drama of a TO into that locker room. And the Bills weren’t terrible last year they did go 7-9 however they did finish the year 2-9 and went 0-6 in the AFC East but come on your not that bad of a team that your so desperate that you wanna sign TO.

      The bills were solid early in the year, before Trent Edwards concussion as Kittels stated in a previous blog, but you cant ignore T.O’s baggage…..fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. On a personal note I hope T.O’s presence will open up some more holes for Marshawn Lynch, so he doesnt resort to some Last Boy Scout shit on the field, god knows he strapped.

      This is a great fit they had second fewest touchdowns by a receiver in 2008 and with lee evans as a deep threat and TO running crossing route, marshawn lynch bruising up opposing DEFs, the outlook is brighter for Buffalo.. Also TO doesnt become a cancer until atleast a year into being on a new team..

      Terrel Owens, Lee Evans, Marshawn Lynch, Trent Edwards… Who doesn’t fit? Maybe they should try to sign Byron now as well!

      I don`t think Trent or Byron are that great, maybe they will make some moves for your boy Stafford.

      Well Trent is no doubt a better qb than byron ever thought of being. They wouldn’t have a chance for Stafford, the lions are already building the futrue around him, besides that contract alone would put the Bills over the cap.

      God Damn Kittels you must have a hell of a lot of inside info, you boys with the Ford family?

      Kittels, I’d be willing to bet the Lions don’t go Stafford. Rather a big OT like Monroe or a guy like Jason Smith. They are, however in desperate need of a QB. Kyle Boller, Charlie Frye or Jeff Garcia would look nice in the silver and blue. Maybe they haven’t learned from previous mistakes and sign Charlie Batch again.
